Target Responsibilities
Draw on experience
and expertise with optimization, regression, decision tree, stochastic
analysis, MS Office applications (Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) and
Crystal Ball to perform data assimilation and analysis to evaluate investment
opportunities, and develop the Profit Objective and Long Range Plan for the
company. Perform sensitivity analysis to evaluate risks and alternative
investment. Create and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
and present to large audiences including senior management. Research processes
and analyze complex problems. Identify new techniques and enhancements in the
forecast models to provide efficiencies and support the planning team in their
daily functions.
Develop and
periodically update assumptions of the plan as they relate to the forecasting
of production schedules, marketing assumptions, capital and operating
expenditures. Collaborate with all groups to identify, forecast, and enter into
models all assumptions necessary to accurately forecast capital, production,
revenue and costs. Responsible for data collection and economic analyses
through the development of discounted cash flow models to support the efficient
allocation of capital and evaluation of new investment opportunities; analyses
will include decision trees, regression analysis, and stochastic economic
evaluation, mineral asset acquisitions, field development optimization,
post-audits, executive summary portfolios, and business contract negotiations.
Assist all corporate and field operators with cost and production analysis,
economic analyses of special projects and investment opportunities, and various
process optimization analyses to help improve profitability. Coordinate the
upload of forecasted plan capital and costs into the company’s financial
reporting platform, ensuring that all forecast data conforms to company
policies. Coordinate with multiple departments such as Operations,
Marketing, Geology
& Geosciences, Water, Land, Corporate Strategy, Supply Chain Management,
Business Development,
Accounting,
Treasury and Tax to ensure that projects and analysis are complete, accurate,
and on time.
Minimum Requirements
Master’s degree in
Engineering, Business or an energy-related field plus 2 years of experience
reflecting demonstrable ability in the skill set described above or Bachelor’s
degree in Engineering, Business or an energy-related field plus 5 years of
progressive experience reflecting demonstrable ability in the skill set
described above.
