Description
We have an
exciting opportunity for an experienced, self-motivated mid-level Engineer. The
selected candidate will provide consultation services to clients in the planning
and design of municipal infrastructure, water, and wastewater projects. This is
an exciting opportunity to work in a growth-oriented professional consulting
office. The candidate will work with senior technical staff on various
pipeline, pump station, and wastewater treatment plant design and construction
projects.
Job Expectations:
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in
water and wastewater including treatment processes, sanitary sewer design,
pumping station design, potable water transmission main design, water
distribution system design and/or wastewater treatment plant design. The
candidate will perform work involving conventional types of engineering
principles and other related activities on engineering designs, technical reports,
construction plan development, specifications, and preparation of cost
estimates for various projects.
Delegate projects
to engineers and supervise their work.
Lead a project
team in the planning and/or design of a major engineering project.
Lead client and
internal meetings to advance project work.
Engage in client
service management and business development activities.
Participate in
work groups and organizations to benefit the company’s knowledge of issues and
to understand client needs
Manage multiple
projects, including participating in the following:
Contract
negotiations
Project set-up and
planning
Sub consultant
management
Managing
production to meet schedule
Planning for and
executing appropriate QA/QC
Tracking costs
versus budget
Identifying and
resolving potential scope and budget issues
Desired Skills and Experience:
B.S. degree in
Civil/Environmental Engineering plus 10-12 years of related experience in the
water, infrastructure, or wastewater field; M.S. preferred
Professional
engineering/consulting experience working with water and wastewater
municipalities
Ability to work in
a team environment
Excellent
communication and technical writing skills
Knowledge of
standard software including MS Office and Outlook
Self-starter,
results-oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines
Active
participation in local professional organizations
